The rhododendron tunnels in the South reminded me of something from The Secret Garden.

I loved the undulating valleys of the Southern Appalachians.

To walk north with springtime is to see the mountains at their finest and prolong my favorite season of the year.

Two and a half years after I took this picture, the memory of that cool, crisp, North Carolina mountain air still gives me goosebumps.
