I’m going hiking in Shenandoah in April. What would you recommend in the 5-6 mile/1,000′ of elevation gained range?

    • Scott, that’s a great question that, unfortunately, others are so much better able to answer than I am. I haven’t hiked Shenandoah outside of my thru-hike, so I know very little about day hikes in the park. However, I will say that Little Stony Man Cliffs was my favorite spot in the park, so a day hike that takes you there would be lovely. Good luck!
