Appalachian Trail

The Appalachian Trail changed my life. After hiking 400 miles of it in 2011, I spent six months walking it from end to end in 2012.

  • A hiker smiles jubilantly while standing on the Mount Katahdin summit sign.
  • A two-dimensional felted wool landscape of a snow-covered rock cairn and a steep mountain ridge.
  • A 22-year-old hiker smiles next to the sign for the Appalachian Trail Approach Trail.
  • A two-dimensional felted wool landscape of a rocky-shored lake reflecting the sky.
  • A hiker sits on a rock ledge, feet dangling over a mountain valley.
  • A two-dimensional felted wool landscape of a red Dutch-style barn in a clearing.
